Five red leaves
Five red leaves, five and no more (hold up 5 fingers)
The caterpillar ate one, now there are four (thumb down)
Four red leaves, that's easy to see.
Along came a rainstorm, now there are three. (index down)
Three red leaves, nothing much to do.
A big wind blew, now two! (middle down)
Two red leaves, that's not much fun.
I glued one on my paper (ring down)
Now there is one. (hold up pinky)
Hang on, pretty red leaf! Your branches won't break.
You're one less leaf for me to rake!
Pretty Leaves are Falling Down (Sung to: "London Bridge")
Pretty leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down.
Pretty leaves are falling down, all around the town.
(wiggle fingers)
Let's rake them up in a pile, in a pile, in a pile.
Let's rake them up in a pile, all around the town.
(make raking motions)
Let's all jump in and have some fun,
have some fun, have some fun.

That's How A Pumpkin Grows - Brian Vogan
Egy fantasztikusan jó ének a tökről.
That’s How A Pumpkin Grows
Take a seed from your pocket and put it in the ground
Press it down nice and deep and push the dirt on down
The harvest moon comes in October
And when you look over your shoulder
That’s how a pumpkin grows
That’s how a pumpkin grows
That’s how a pumpkin grows
Now it’s a pumpkin
When we go to the pumpkin patch we’ll have so much fun
Maybe spend round an hour or two ‘til we find the best one
The harvest moon comes in October
And when you look over your shoulder
That’s how a pumpkin grows
That’s how a pumpkin grows
That’s how a pumpkin grows
Now it’s a pumpkin

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Eric Carle színezők
Eric Carle különleges montázstechnikával készült mesekönyvei közül a legelső és legismertebb a The Very Hungry Caterpillar - A telhetetlen hernyócska.
A tojástól a pillangóvá válásig követhetjük végig a fejlődést.

Elmer, Elmer in the snow - színező
Mit remélt ettõl a változástól? Jól döntött? Hogyan érezte magát, mikor a többiek már nem ismerték fel? Vajon milyen érzés volt egyformának lenni? Mit akart a kiáltásával elérni? Miért nevettek akkorát az elefántok a végén? Vajon Elmer másképpen viselkedett ezek után?

Szótanuló kártyák, flash cards, szókártyák
A szótanuló kártyák nagy segítséget nyújtanak a gyerekeknek az alap szókincs elsajátításában, segítségükkel könnyebb az állatok, a növények, a gyümölcsök neveinek megtanulása. Ezeken az alap szavakat tartalmazókon kívül többfajta flashcard kapható, amelyeken már mondatok is szerepelnek. Érdemes olyat választani, amelyik színes, mókás képekkel van díszítve.
Mivel az angol órákon rendszeresen találkoznak a gyerekeink ezekkel a kártyákkal, ezért mi is elkezdtük használni őket. Az egyik angol könyveket áruló webáruházban találtuk a következőket.

Rain on the Green Grass
Rain on the green grass
(wiggle fingers down to floor and out wide)
And rain on the trees
(wiggle fingers up and over head)
Rain on the Housetop,
(Make an upside-down "V" with hands)
But not on me.
(Circle arms over head to make an umbrella)
Rain on the green grass
(wiggle fingers down to floor and out wide)
And rain on the trees
(wiggle fingers up and over head)
Rain on the Housetop,
(Make an upside-down "V" with hands)
But not on me.

Apples rhymes - Mondókák almáról
Five red apples
Hanging on a tree /five fingers held up

And one little apple came tumbling down.
Four red apples, etc.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
Apple in the morning - Doctor's warning
Roast apple at night - starves the doctor outright
Eat an apple going to bed - knock the doctor on the head
Three each day, seven days a week - ruddy apple, ruddy cheek
